Server log files

When you open a page, the hosting provider's server automatically records technical data that your browser transmits: the page requested, the date and time, the amount of data transferred, the referring page, your browser and operating system, and your IP address.

Legal basis: Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. The legitimate interest is operating the site securely and reliably and being able to investigate technical faults and attacks. This data is not merged with other sources and is not used to identify you.

Storage period: the hosting provider keeps these log files for at most eight weeks; after that they are deleted.

Hosting

This website is hosted by IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Str. 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany. IONOS operates the server that records the log data described above and processes it on our behalf, under a data-processing agreement pursuant to Article 28 GDPR. The servers are located in Germany; no data is transferred to a country outside the European Union.

Contacting us by e-mail

If you write to us, we process the address you write from and whatever you put in the message, for the purpose of answering it. Legal basis: Article 6(1)(b) GDPR where your enquiry concerns a contract or its initiation, otherwise Article 6(1)(f) — our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries. We keep the correspondence for as long as the matter requires and for as long as statutory retention periods oblige us to.

Your rights

You have the right to obtain confirmation of whether we process your personal data and to access it (Article 15), to have it corrected (Article 16) or erased (Article 17), to restrict processing (Article 18), to receive it in a portable form (Article 20), and to object to processing based on our legitimate interest (Article 21).

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is the Hessischer Beauftragter für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit, Wiesbaden.

No obligation to provide data

Providing personal data is neither required by law or contract nor necessary to use this site. You can read everything here without giving us anything.
